our purpose

Friends of Guest House was founded to provide a temporary home for women recently released from prison who need basic support services to facilitate a new start in life and successfully transition back into society.

The program at Friends of Guest House is designed to empower women by providing them with the tools necessary, including housing, food, counseling, employment assistance, and medical, legal and social services, to become self-sufficient and responsible members of the community.

Friends of Guest House offers services to female ex-offenders who sincerely desire assistance following release from prison or jail and to those seeking an alternative to incarceration. Services are provided without regard to race, religion, age, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability.
