Since 2004, Friends of Guest House has seen a steady increase in the number of grants received as well as increases in the average grant amounts. In FY 2008, grants from local jurisdictions and private foundations comprised more than 50% of the organization's revenue. Funding has come from the following sources:

> Graduates Honored
On Saturday, July 18, Friends of Guest House honored the graduates of its After-Care Program in the Chapel of the Alfred Street Baptist Church. Ten beaming women lined up to receive the certificates signifying successful completion of the Guest House program – truly a step in the right direction.

Friends of Guest House is doing such amazing and effective work that it was honored by the Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington as one of the area’s Best Small Charities.
 
> Guest House Receives Leadership Award
Friends of Guest House is privileged to be named by the Washington Area Women’s Foundation (WAWF) as one of 10 Leadership Awardees in 2009.
